Easy Does It

When making a change or starting something new, begin it with a small easy step. Just like a flower begins with a tiny little seed, it takes time to build and to blossom. Beginning slowly and simply are the building blocks to creating success. As you may have read in an earlier submission, I've begun to incorporate running into my daily walks. I allowed this to happen by running when it felt natural and easy. I didn't start by sprinting up a mountain; I began by running down a hill! Over time I have continued to let running become a part of my walking routine. I have slowly moved from running only downhill to running on level ground. Soon, I will try running uphill when I feel it is time to take that next step with this progression. Letting things begin in an easy way will allow you to feel a sense of accomplishment and success. Having that feeling of success is a natural motivator; it will make you want to do it again. When you build slowly, it will always last. Just like any change, it happens step by step so you can adjust slowly and be aware of where you are going and what you are doing. If you're successful with something once, even if it felt easy, you will be inclined to try it again. If you are meant to continue with whatever this new step is, you will be able to build slowly upon what you know.
I hope you will try out a new and easy step today!
